Hello and Welcome to Proudfoot Kennels,

We are happy to have the opportunity to introduce you
Ontario's Home to the South African Boerboel !

We are located in a small town in Northern Ontario Canada,
on the outskirts of Algonquin Park.

We have the great pleasure of being surrounded by many
beautiful lakes, rivers, and streams all within a short walking
distance from our home!

Our  experiences have been  first hand and we have seen
the benefits of raising puppies to adulthood,
while living in the family home.
All of our dogs are first and foremost part of our family and live in
the home with us. 

It is for this reason alone that we chose NOT to have a huge quantity of dogs kept in kennels. The South African Boerboel is not a dog that will thrive in a kennel environment as it was primarily bred as a companion working dog. NOT an independent sentry dog.

After a lifetime of companionship and ownership of what must seem to be quite an eclectic mix of dogs, we have found that the South African Boerboel posses the qualities that we have been seeking all along!
These being total devotion to the family, strength, stamina, guardian type presence and the ability to work without questioning.
